OK so, I don't know about anyone else but one I heard some of the new things available in Guitar Hero 4, I almost pooped a frisbee. Activision decided to go all out with this expansion to the already lucrative (and highly addictive series). One of the first new features is their take on a multi-player system. As in Rock Band, Guitar Hero 4 offers a four player game with singing, drumming, guitar and bass. Those of us who have played Rock Band know that sober or drunk, those four parts together equal hours of fun. The problem with Rock Band, however, is that you end up playing the same songs over and over again and you get to the point where you'd far sooner slam your head into a wall before you hear Radiohead's "Creep" again. But fear not rocked out fans, Guitar Hero 4 offers a new feature that should make replaying the game over and over again a new experience: You can make your own songs now. *GASP* Oh yes. Whether you want to record while you are playing or just make your very own songs. The interface with song creation has not been released but it should be interesting to mess around with. You are given the option to upload up to five songs for download by other players. If you songs are downloaded frequently, then your status is raised and you can then upload up to 10 songs. The drum system has been upgraded from Rock Bands four pad drum set and will now include three pads and two symbols that are pressure sensitive to register if you are rocking out hard or lightly tapping (as in Garth from Wayne's World "I like to play" *tap*). So far, according to Shack News, the bands and songs that are released for the new game will be:
Sublime - "Santeria"
Billy Idol - "Rebel Yell"
Foo Fighters - "Everlong"
Linkin Park
Van Halen
The Eagles
Possible artists that may have been leaked (for some of them I hope it's true) are:
At the Drive-In - "One Armed Scissor
Def Leppard
Aerosmith
Jimi Hendrix
The Doors
Smashing Pumpkins
KoRn
System of a Down
Ozzy Osbourne
Interpol
Muse
The Police
Blink 182
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Well, I'll try and keep updating this post as I research more information. If you have anything, reply away and add. Any information I can get on the newest release will be greatly appreciate. Until then *YAY GUITAR HERO*
