Here's some food for thought! Most people know what happens when you take shrooms. You see stuff...it's usually pretty. A recent study suggests that people who took magic mushrooms (it was a controlled study just to let you know) felt better about themselves and the world around them. The drug that makes you feel this way is psilocybin. Medical researchers say that the drug could help people deal with alcoholism, drug dependence, and terminally ill patients.

What about depression?

In the article they didn't say anything about depression but I think that's probably what it's used for regardling terminally ill patients...kind of like how MDMA (ectasy) was originally used.
