About my dad-in-law:

Originally, he was in motorcycle accident. He was doing really well with just one more surgery for his leg, then rehab. Since they had to postpone the surgery due to infection, the insurance company wouldn't pay for him to stay at the hospital so they sent him to a nursing home. No one took precautions against possible pulmonary embolism and this place wasn't even set up for emergencies. He had a heart attack that they couldn't bring him back from... We ordered an autopsy of which we are still waiting for results. We and already had a lawsuit pending for the motorcycle accident (and are continuing with) and now a possible malpractice/wrongful death suit against the hospital and the insurance company.
We are holding up as best we can...
